The ADHD Impact Module— Child™ (AIM-C) Child Scale consists of eight items that measure the well-being of the child. The Home scale, consists of ten items that assess the impact of their child’s condition on the family/parent and reflects on recalls from 7 days to 6 months. A child can be evaluated for ADHD beginning at age four. Some children will have an evaluation in kindergarten or first grade. Many parents wait until symptoms are causing difficulties at home and in school before seeking an evaluation.
Completion times can vary depending on a complex host of issues such as the setting, context, age, cognitive functioning, language, layout, etc.
